And I thouht their vocabulary was lacking.....

For posterity's sake and so Sylvin can see....I'm listing the words the girls know or can say. I thought the vocabulary was delayed, until I started writing them all down. Now I'm thinking they're probably right on time with it. Of course most of these only a mother could decipher but some are pretty clear.

Sunday's supposed to be a day of rest.....

Here's another picture of we girls! We're standing in front of the marina/diveshop here on base. The very same I got certified at and is only about 3 mins down the hill from my house. Mehan took it of us. She works part time at the marina.

We're getting up bright and early to go diving again Monday morning. We missed this last Tues, cause the babysitter was away at summer camp. We're diving in Apra Harbor at a site called American Tanker. I guess it was sunk purposely and is in great shape. My first ship wreck! I'm stoked. There's another site here on island somewere where you can TOUCH two ships, one from WWI and the other from WWII simutaneously. Supposedly the only place in the world that you can do that.
I'll have to update you on the dive later on this week.
Switching subjects; I was going to take the girls to the pool this afternoon and as I was back getting ready the girls find activities to keep themselves occupied. I was coming down the hall to catch one of them to go and get them ready when I smelled nail polish. I thought to myself..."ut oh, this isn't going to be good." I'm scanning the dining room, panning left when I just about croaked!!!!!!!! My white leather couch had dark coffee bean colored nail polish all over the top of the cushions, one really got it worse than the others, but it was ALL over nonetheless.
I picked myslef up off the floor and managed to find my fingernail polish remover,cotton balls and a magic eraser and went to work with 4 little eyeballs watching me from their timeouts. Thank God, their lives were spared cause I got the polish removed. A few faint stains left on the couch, a ruined crusty coffee bean colored pillow and completey ruined pair of PJs I breathed a sigh of relief. Now if I can only get the fingernail polish smell to dissappear and we're good again. Better use the spell checker, I think the fumes are getting to me.

Still alive and kicking!

Well, I've revived my flip video camera. I thought I had broke it somehow, but better than that erased software. Well, I plugged it into the computer and the software updated itself so that it was 'compatable' so now I'm back in business. I've missed sharing the videos with you all. (insert opportunity to brag here______...they're so stinking cute!) The video above is of them drinking the peach juice out of the can. The peaches come in 100% juice, so it's pretty sour. They're always licking their trays, so I thought I'd help em out and put it all in their sippy cups. You can see it went over like a lead balloon.
Here's another from when Sylvin was still home. We were headed for bed. The video below was after their bath one night. Sylvin and I could hear their tummies slushing around from being so full. You could actually hear it from far away, so that's why I tried to catch it on video. Don't think you can hear it though, not like we did anyway.

All is well here. I believe the girls have sprouted again over night. Their feet seem to be getting bigger and they're both reaching things further back on counters and higherup than before. I haven't checked, I'll do that again in a week or so. We've got a little wall with their little tick marks on it to keep track while Papi is gone.
Speaking of Sylvin, he's good too. Busy, but that's good for him! He HASN'T sent ANY pictures yet, so once he does, I'll see if I can post them here. We all miss one another terribly, but we'll make it. One month down, who knows how many more stil. Keep your prayers up and maybe he'll make it home on time?!

Happy Birthday America!

Here we are...the Three Musketeers on the 4th of July. We met my girlfriend and her daughter, Mehan and Kelsey down at the marina/diveshop here on base. It has a covered open aired little restaraunt on top and that's where we watched the fireworks. No crowd, front row seats and it wasn't too loud. Loud enough that it still freaked the girls out...Here's Eve holding on to Kelsey
We had fun, it took a few minutes for the girls to calm down once the fireworks were over...they kept looking for them to start again. They're so cute. I know I say that everytime, but I can't help it.

Sylvin got to Japan alright. We've downloaded Skype and have been able to talk to one another for free and to send streaming video as well. So the girls have enjoyed that. He usually comes on when the girls have gone to bed, so I take the computer back there and they're usually bouncing around still so I let them bounce around and kiss Papi on the computer screen. The first time we stopped the call/video the girls were mad! They both threw fits and were crying. They don't anymore, but they look at the computer funny like "hey where'd he go?"
We've signed up for a flight to Japan, it's getting closer by the day! I heard there was a 1000 yen store = which means everything in there is a dollar....that's like 5 stories tall! A few have said their dollar stores blow our away. I'm stoked. REAL shopping! YIPPEE! Not really exciting about all the traveling we're going to have to do to get there but a small FREE hurdle, so I can't complain too loudly.
I finally started by diving certification classes. I'll be legal by the beginning of next week! I'll have 4 open water dives under my belt by Monday next week. I can't wait to get in the water. I've seen pictures and videos of the aquatic life here and I'm so anxious to see it for myself. They have giant mantas right here in Guam (on occasion) but you don't have to go to Yap to see them if you're lucky. All the better when we go to Australia, I'll be ready to dive the Great Barrier Reef!
I'm so fortunate. I NEVER thought in my wildest wildest daydream that I'd be living here expierencing all this. Not to mention the education I invested in would take me where it has...........little did I know how much that little piece of paper saying I was a nurse would change my life THIS much!
And on that note, I have to sing my bestest friend in the worlds accomplishments! Jacquie graduated from IBC with a degree in Medical Coding/billing and Transcription just this past week. I'm so proud of her. So if you see her wish her a huge congratulations. She worked so hard and graduated with practically a 4.0 average.
