A summer's hiatus

Husband 36, Daughter 3, homemade crocheted blankets $25, Leather recliner $250, the art of you DAUGHTER being able to put your HUSBAND to bed.....priceless!

Whew, I recently discovered facebook and that was about the time I started trailing off here. I apologize to those few of you who do follow us on a regular basis. I was kinda miffed at first thinking my family and friends back home don't really care, outta sight outta mind. Ahhh, to have the illusion of a younger year when technology could afford you to sugar coat a genuine interest. Now I know who's been here and who hasn't. Again thank you to those that have hung in there, showing a real interest in our daily boring lives and watching the girls grow up through videos and pictures. My greatest accomplishment to date, (God's actually, I'm just the blessed parent to have them on loan.)
It's been an eventful summer so far. Sylvin's had some health issues as of late that we're not sure what we're dealing with yet. I ask for your prayers that God heal his body and put the right doctors in his care that will help facilitate this.
I started volunteering at the Navy base's thrift store. It's only one day a week for 3-4 hours at the most. The girls are going to a child development/day care house and they like it so much they cry every time I want them to leave. They really enjoy the change of scenery and the chance to play with other kids.
They've gotten more accustomed to the beach and water. They look like normal kids enjoying a day at the beach now, instead of two kids who don't know what to do with all the sand, surf and sunshine. They still freak out and run if they see something questionable, but it's getting much much much better.
Speaking of better,.....well, they've found their voices, words and sentences. No worries about if they can talk or not. They're downright lippy some days. Especially when they've forgone their naps. Whoolly schmoolly I am so in for it! I know mom is just having the best time with this. Sy is the worst for telling me off.
She'll actually say "put mommy away" when she doesn't like me telling her what to do or how to act.
OH! Another tick on the checklist! They're completely potty trained. That happened in June sometime. Can't remember exactly, I should have wrote it down, but I know it was June. It was much easier than time than I had anticipated. It was only a few days with both of them. I don't think Eve has had even one accident since we put on the big girl undies. Sy on the other hand is all about testing boundaries.....and she did. Twice. Second time she got in trouble and now she's walking the straight and narrow as well. They're still wearing pull ups at night when they sleep but we'll get there, I now have faith they won't go off to college in pull ups.
On that note I'll close here with the promise to be back and keep this updated in a more timely manner. After all it shouldn't matter if anyone is checking or not. I wanted to do this for the girls sake and turn it into a book or something for them. So, with that being said.....thank you again to those of you who do read each line. I love you all. Take care.
