(Eve's in pink, and Sy's in the blue shorts. Just in case you were wondering over the video.)
P.S. On a PS before the entry, Today: 20 Feb 09
We went to the hospital to go pick up meds from the pharmacy. As I was standing at the window with both the girls talking to the guy about what it was we needed. One of the girls, I'm thinking it was Sy, lifted up the bottom of my dress to look! HOLY CRAP...I said to myself and blurted out "NO NO NO!" pushing my dress back down. Thank God she wasn't a little taller or I would have shown everyone my goods....and thank God I wore my bike shorts under my dress today! All I can say was "that was close" and I'm sure this is only the beginning of them embarrassing me on a regular basis. YIKES.
Sylvin got home on Saturday. We were all happy to see him. The first few days Eve wouldn't let him outta her sight. He's home for a good stretch this time. Yesterday was a good day for flying a kite, so Sylvin got out the kites I bought for a dollar at the thrift store here on base. It's been super windy and rough seas. Sylvin said they got their "baxides" kicked sailing back in.
Eve and Sy have been getting better at the whole potty training thing. Hence the stickers below on Eve. They are the girls reward for going on the potty. Can I state for the record right here and now I LOATHE potty training. They have to go at the most inopportune times....both of them. If one goes and the other doesn't, guaranteed the next one will go just as soon as you're done with the first. Hopefully they'll be well on their way of being done by the time Sylvin leaves. He's been such a welcome relief and lots of help. He's such a good father. We're all very lucky girls.
This was a miracle shot since Sy was running away from me and the camera. Guess she didn't want to be harassed by paparazzi tonightEvie got into the sticker book when Papi wasn't paying attention.

Sorry this is so all over the place. At the end the waves were chasing me. I almost got knocked over and was more concerned with where the girls were than if the camera was on or not. I apologize! These weren't even good waves for surfers, they were just plain dangerous if you were out in the water!

The Secret of a Happy Marriage
Sylvin's been out and then back alot lately. {I didn't want to say in and out ;-)} They have a very unpredictable schedule right now, but hopefully we'll get it nailed down soon. So it's been nice and bittersweet all at the same time having him home and then gone. It gives us a break to miss one another and 'honeymoon' when he gets home. The girls have noticed when he's gone and they've been talking quite a bit about it. They say "Papi at work, Papi on the boat, Papi sleeping on the boat and Papi on the boat out in the waves on the ocean" He came home Sunday night, had Monday off and the girls were really excited to go and pick him up.
Me and my girlfriends went up to Andersen AFB yesterday to go shopping and look around. It was a nice time. On the way back, Marine Corp Drive runs right along the ocean side and we noticed how big the waves were. SO I told Sylvin when I got home and we all piled in the car to go back out to Asan beach and watch the waves. I'm not kidding they were HUGE! Way bigger than the last one's I wrote about. Sylvin said they were an easy 15 feet high!
There's a video above, but it doesn't show the magnitude or the power behind these waves. I couldn't even imagine a Tsunami. It was an amazing show! At one point I was even standing quite a ways from the beach and a few waves crashed on past the top of the sand and came rushing in. It almost knocked me over. The waves/tide had come in so far that it was floating rocks from the beach onto the edge of the parking lot. The girls were afraid the closer we got to them, they got alot better once we moved back across the parking lot to the grassy area of the park. That's where these were taken.
First one is me and Sy, second, me and Eve
