For posterity's sake and so Sylvin can see....I'm listing the words the girls know or can say. I thought the vocabulary was delayed, until I started writing them all down. Now I'm thinking they're probably right on time with it. Of course most of these only a mother could decipher but some are pretty clear.
Here's the list:
As of 7-29-08.....Popeye, big Popeye, Grandma, Grandmalu, Grandpa, Uncle John, Aunt Shammy, Beans, Momma-me, Aunt Jacquie, Auntie Ang, Sy Sy and Evie, they attempt their whole names, Evelisse, Esyanne, Mercado, outside, milk, light on, hot, cold, tray, table, bear, duck, dog, cat, elephant, hippo, lion, whale, zebra, bird, cow, bed, bah bah (blanket), door, ball, wall, tub, diaper, diaper cream, wipes, wet, baby, pants, phone, hello, bye bye, goodbye, moon, star, circle, butterfly, beach, bathingsuit, towel, shoes, short pants, pants, PJ's, duct tape, hello, toothpaste, toothbrush, tylenol, bugbite, bugbite cream, boo boo, banna, nush, coo coo, pee pee, eyeball, eyebrow, teeth, feet, belly button, more, please, thank you, excuse me, hungry, banana, cereal bar, water, rice, cheerios, lima beans, green beans, blueberry, stawberries, grape, peaches, ow, bowl, plate, all done, car, bicycle, plane, boat, purple, blue, yellow, red, green, pink, white, brush you teeth, dark outside, there ya go, go bye bye, go dog go, I love you, night night, love you Jesus and Amen.
Whew! That's all I can think of right now. I just wanted to get these down. Their vocabulary is getting bigger and bigger by the day.
Sylvin's from the Virgin Islands and I'm from Indiana. We met in St. Croix in 2000 when I was on contract there as a nurse. It all started there on a beautiful sandy beach....then lots of moves and an eventful adoption of our twin girls..Esyanne and Evelisse in 2006. We feel our greatest milestone yet!
We've come to a semi cirlce,.....hence the sandy beaches....This site is all about our adventures in Guam and archives of our first year in Michigan together. Me, Syani, Eve and Sylvin too! We're so very very blessed!
Please feel free to leave a comment at the end of a post. I enjoy the feedback and it lets me know you've been here. Or if you prefer email, send me some at guam.usvigirl@gmail.com
